WHAT IS CALISTHENICS?
Calisthenics involves manipulating your bodyweight as a force of resistance. In weight training, dumbbells and barbells can be used to increase resistance in your training. In calisthenics, gravity is the only resistance you will need! With proper guidance and technique, you can learn to harness new power and strength, anywhere at any time!
MEET THE COACH
As an aspiring professional soccer player, my whole life has been dedicated to fitness and health related goals. I grew up in a small town in Iowa where I had little to no distractions. Because of this, I focused my time and energy on mastering my craft. This included working out at the gym, continually focusing on my nutritional goals, while simultaneously pursuing my individual soccer career. I spent hours in the gym, lifting weights as a maintenance requirement rather than as a source of enjoyment.
It wasn’t until I found calisthenics that working out became something I wanted to do! I found myself exercising whenever and wherever I could. I was no longer bound by a gym and the equipment that was provided. Suddenly, monkey bars, benches, and even park swings became my gym. The possibilities became endless! This newfound passion inspired me to share the joy of healthy living with others in a supportive, fun and unique environment.


WHAT TO EXPECT
At the start of my fitness journey, I spent countless hours searching for a program that was scaled to a realistic beginner level and was constantly left disappointed. To this day, the term "beginner" in the fitness world is extremely subjective. This inspired me to learn ways to modify exercises so that everyone has a version they can perform! Whether you're doing side planks on your hands, forearms, or assisted with your knees, everyone will have a starting point!
Here, you will learn different movements that will help you regardless of your age or fitness level. These exercises have been hand picked after hours of research to provide you with optimal results. My goal is to take the guesswork out of training and provide a functional program that can improve your quality of life!​
